We're still on the lookout for 2009 Breast Cancer 3-Day participants who are interested in being a spokesperson for the events. If you'd like to be a media ambassador, complete the Ambassador Information Form (login to the3day.org and click on “fundraising” to find the form). Complete the form to the best of your ability and e-mail it to PRteam@barkleyus.com or fax it to (816) 423-7191. Please specify which event city you are referring to in the subject line.

This year, we also have opportunities for Online Ambassadors to help us spread the word about the Breast Cancer 3-Day via their personal blogs and Twitter. If you'd like more details, please mention your blog URL and/or Twitter handle in the comments on your form.

Whether you’re new to the Breast Cancer 3-Day or an old pro, your journey begins here. A Get Started Meeting will provide you with the information and inspiration you are looking for. Register at an in-person meeting and you’ll receive your walker handbook on the spot.

If you’re already registered, this meeting is for you, too. We’ll talk about training and fundraising, and get you the information you need to prepare for an amazing experience. Bring your friends and family so they can learn more about the Breast Cancer 3-Day, too!

2008 Her Voice Campaign  
We are proud to announce that http://www.hervoicecampaign.com/ is now live and featuring the videos of many Breast Cancer 3-Day participants.

The 2008 Her Voice Campaign site gives a voice to the person or story inspiring each participant’s Breast Cancer 3-Day journey. Together we are creating a global online community raising awareness and funds for the fight to end breast cancer.

Mark your calendar for our series of special pre-event prep phone meetings. Enjoy the company of the Breast Cancer 3-Day community exchanging useful tips about fundraising, training, and preparing for the event.


These special phone meetings are led by knowledgeable, experienced Breast Cancer 3-Day walkers who are eager to share the wisdom they've gained from past Breast Cancer 3-Days. RSVP for a phone meeting today! (You will be emailed conference call instructions after you RSVP.)

Breast Cancer 3-Day night at the Padres  
We’d like to invite our San Diego Breast Cancer 3-Day participants to a special night at the San Diego Padres on Monday, September 8, 2008 at 7:05 p.m. The San Diego Padres have generously offered special tickets to Breast Cancer 3-Day participants, friends and family for their September 8 home game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Announcing the Breast Cancer 3-Day Poster Contest Winner  


The winner of the Breast Cancer 3-Day poster contest is Stephanie Leonardi!

Her winning design, as selected by Breast Cancer 3-Day participants, is now available for purchase at 3DayGear.com and will also be sold at the event.

Stephanie is an art teacher at the elementary and middle school level and has combined her passions for art and sports into this inspiring design.

Crew Volunteers Needed!  
From serving meals to picking up trash, providing medical assistance and filling water bottles, the all-volunteer crew is vital to the success of the Breast Cancer 3-Day.

For Breast Cancer 3-Day events in Chicago (Aug. 8-10), Michigan (Sept. 26-28), Dallas/Fort Worth (Nov. 7-9), Arizona (Nov. 14-16) and San Diego (Nov. 21-23) we need MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS ONLY! The other crew positions have been filled.

For the events in Boston (Aug. 15-17), Cleveland (Aug. 22-24), San Francisco Bay Area (Sept. 5-7), Seattle (Sept. 12-14), Twin Cities (Sept. 19-21), Washington, D.C. (Oct. 3-5), Philadelphia (Oct. 17-19), Atlanta (Oct. 24-26), and Tampa Bay (Oct. 31-Nov. 2), we're looking for all crew members, including medical professionals.

If you're not walking this year, please consider volunteering. Crew members commit four full days to the Breast Cancer 3-Day (Thursday to Sunday) and must be 18 years or older. To make an impact on the breast cancer movement by being a member of the Breast Cancer 3-Day crew, contact coaches@the3day.org or 800.996.3DAY.
